Setting up a planned gift lets you direct your finances while making a long-term difference in the work we do. Whether you set up a fund or include us in your will, you’ll be leaving a legacy of hope and freedom for poor and marginalized people.
Bequests and Wills
A bequest is a gift made in a last will and testament. Bequests are the most common type of planned giving and anyone with a will can make a bequest.
Please consider leaving a legacy of freedom, and including Dalit Freedom Network Canada in your estate. If you have any questions about setting up a bequest, we would be happy to advise you.
Example Gift Clause
A share of the residue (designates a percentage of the remainder of your Estate, once debts and specific gifts in your will have been paid):
“I give to Dalit Freedom Network Canada P.O. Box 45645 Surrey, BC V4A 9N3 _____ % of the residue of my Estate for its charitable purposes.”
A specific gift in your will (designates a specific amount of cash or other asset/s):
“I give to Dalit Freedom Network Canada P.O. Box 45645 Surrey, BC V4A 9N3 the sum of $____________ (or a description of the property or asset) for its charitable purposes.
Gift of Securities
Individuals can directly donate their security investments (stocks, bonds, mutual funds), providing a direct benefit to both you and to Dalit Freedom Network Canada. A stock donation will eliminate any future capital gains’ tax burden, and you will receive a charitable tax receipt.
